Suppose you played a Piano part in the key of C and decide later that you would like to hear it in the key of D. In this case you want to change the key signature and also transpose the pitch of every note up by a full step. This is a two-step operation in FreeStyle: change the key and transpose the notes. See the two previous sections for how to do each step. Of course, if you are only working in the graphic editing view you don’t have to bother changing the key signature until you want to display or print music notation.
If you are transposing your entire song, be sure that you don’t select any notes in drum parts, or your drum sounds may change in unexpected ways.
